Today, McLean Melody had the opportunity to perform at a new location, Larmax Homes and share our music with a wonderful audience. It was a special experience for all of us, and we enjoyed bringing different styles of music to the community.
Our program included a ton of pieces, from classical selections like Toccatina by Kabalevsky and Harmony of the Angels by Burgmüller to familiar melodies like Tomorrow and Send in the Clowns. We also performed Three Military Marches Op. 51 as a piano duet. Each piece brought something different to the concert and allowed us to show different musical styles. The seniors clearly enjoyed the music, with some clapping their hands and tapping their feet to the rhythm, while others softly sang along to the familiar melodies, making the performance even more heartwarming and memorable.
The variety of performers and pieces made the concert especially enjoyable. Each musician had the chance to share a piece, giving the audience an opportunity to hear different composers, melodies, and musical expressions. From solo performances to duets, everyone helped make the program unique.
Overall, this performance was a great opportunity to share our passion for music outside of our usual environment. We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with the community through music and we look forward to our next McLean Melody performance!
