This summer, I went on vacation to Salzburg, Austria. It is the hometown of the famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart! I saw the house where he was born, and it was so cool to imagine him playing music there as a little boy. We walked around the old town and saw statues and pictures of Mozart everywhere.
Salzburg is also where they filmed the movie The Sound of Music! I saw some of the places from the movie, like the beautiful gardens and mountains. It felt like I was inside a story.
After Salzburg, we went to Vienna and listened to a Mozart concerto at the Golden Hall. The music was so beautiful and the hall was shiny and fancy with gold decorations and a big chandelier! My favorite part was when the violins played fast and soft at the same time.
I even bought a music box that plays Mozart’s music. Visiting Mozart’s hometown and hearing his music in Vienna made me love classical music even more!
