For my last concert I played a duet with my brother called Concertante. It was a pretty fast piece with a lot of staccato but we had practiced a lot so it didn’t really faze us. We did face a bit of trouble, because it turns out everyone had gone to the wrong side of the building, and the concert was actually on the other side. It took a few minutes to get there and me and my brother waited our turn to perform. When we got up to the stage, one kind old lady was excited because she used to also play cello when she was younger. We played through our piece easily, and when we were finished, the same old lady told us that the piece was beautiful, which made me very happy.
The piece I am playing right now is called You Are the Reason. It is a very melodic piece with an average tempo. It is a cello and piano duet and sounds amazing. I’m very excited for when I actually get to play this piece onstage in front of others, because I am sure it will sound awesome.
