Last week, I visited BASIS Independent Mclean on behalf of Mclean Melody, serving as the Art Director, to support their newest club- Compassion Collective!
Compassion Collective is a volunteer-based club at BASIS whose mission is to create cards and art for senior citizens while also giving back to the community through involvement in various charities. During my time there, we spent two hours making cards and friends, while also reflecting on what it truly means to give back to the community.
We plan to partner with Compassion Collective during our performances by creating crafts and gifts together to share with seniors!
By spreading our wings and collaborating with different organizations, we can continue to strengthen our community through the arts!
