At the end of February, Mclean Melody had a wonderful concert at Chesterbrook Residency. This performance included a variety of instruments and pieces. Though we were short on people, our members made the program just as appreciable as any other.
To begin, a few soloists took the stage with some lovely classical and romantic pieces, as well as some modern and contemporary style music. Next, we had a series of duets. A highlight was Hector and Ethan’s Flower Fair, performed on the pipa, a traditional Chinese instrument. The lively and bright piece filled the room with vibrant notes and elegant arpeggios; it was truly a passion-driven performance.

Later, Rachel and Sophie performed a piano duet of Hungarian Dance No.1 in G Major. The piece was beautiful and filled with rich melodies, just like a Hungarian dance. Finally, to wrap it all up, we had a couple more soloists share their music—a special thanks to the members who played multiple pieces!
Thank you to all those who contributed and their passion for music. Mclean Melody’s concert would not be same without everyone’s dedication and skill.
