Led by two winners of the prestigious Scholastic Gold key Award, our very first session of Art Corner was a big success!
The kids from Mclean Melody made special cards and origami for the seniors. We used colorful paper, markers and decorated the cards. We wrote kind messages like” You are loved!” or ” Have a nice day!”. We wanted the seniors to feel happy when they read them.
We also made fun origami crafts. We folded paper to make flowers, hearts, rabbits, butterflies and even crane! We helped each other and had a lot of fun.
It was another wonderful way to show kindness and care to seniors.
