As the school year wraps up, we are dreaming of popsicles, pool days, and summer adventures. But for one group of young musicians from Mclean Melody, summer plans include something a little different—and very special: continuing to share the gift of music with senior residents.
May 24th, 2025, Mclean Melody had a wonderful performance at the Sunrise Senior Center. On the last visit before summer break, the young musicians gave an extra special performance to thank her audience for listening all year. We have 21 delightful and diverse performances, showing both classical and contemporary pieces. The performers included a variety of pianists, cellists, violinists, and flutists. The room was filled with warm applause and the beautiful program left the audience with a sense of joy.
Several residents asked if we would come back again.
Our answer was simple: “Yes! we’ll be back this summer!”
With school finished and summer ahead, we are excited to keep showing up—with small hands, big hearts, and kindness in every note.
