From the moment I joined Mclean Melody, I sensed more than just senior home performances. I sensed that this was an organization full of young, talented musicians ready to create a meaningful impact in their community. I sensed Mclean Melody was bubbling with potential to do more than just spread the joy of music, but provide a platform for all youth musicians in the Northern Virginia area to share their passion with the world. From my first performance, I knew I wanted to be part of this organization.
It was an absolute privilege to be selected onto the Mclean Melody Team as Digital Outreach Director. During my time as DOD, my role included reaching out to different audience members and musicians digitally. I operated Mclean Melody’s social media accounts, and greatly expanded Mclean Melody’s online presence. I presented the talent and passion of our young musicians to the digital world. I also took the role of facilitating large ensemble rehearsals. Our first large ensemble at Mclean Melody debuted at our Thanksgiving Special Performance. I contacted both musicians and their parents to work with everyone’s schedules, selecting the best time slots to schedule rehearsals.
Today, my heart is full of gratitude. I am honored to be promoted to Vice President of Mclean Melody, in charge of operations and outreach. I am truly grateful to the Mclean Melody team and board for selecting me for this special position. Thank you to all those who have granted me their full trust and support. I look forward to a fruitful and productive 2025, and I will continue to work hard to bring the best of Mclean Melody!
