A couple days after Thanksgiving, Mclean Melody held another performance at Vinson Hall Retirement Community. We and the seniors had so much fun sharing Thanksgiving-themed music and more. The bright afternoon light shining through the windows added a festive mood to the atmosphere as the music surrounded us.
Some new pieces included Turkey in a Straw, played by Claire, Jacob, and Hudson on the piano, cello and flute. It was such a fun piece that had everyone clapping to the beat, and they performed it beautifully. Other new pieces were Give Thanks and Shenandoah, two pieces with rich melodies that sang of kindness and gratitude. These were two large ensembles that included a variety of instruments like violins, cellos, a flute and piano. The music struck a deep nostalgic feeling but also one of joy and excitement.
This performace was made memorable by all who performed and helped make this moment a delightful experience for everyone. Thank you!
